Before measuring:
Waist:
Take pants or jeans from the wardrobe that fit well in both length and width. Button the pants and zip up the zipper, then shift the front of the pants about 10cm to the side.
Stretch the waistbands of both pants upper edges, measure the waistband in cm and multiply by 2 (example results from the video - 49cm x 2 = 98cm at the waist; corresponds to size W36)
Hips:
Position the measuring tape so that it touches the ends of the side seams and the lower arc end of the decorative zipper seam (see the picture). Measure the hip width from one side of the fabric to the other (not to the seams).
